My Story

As a qualified counsellor therapist, I have undergone extensive training and education in the field of psychological health. With a Level 2 counselling skills certification, Level 3 theory and practice of counselling, Level 4 diploma in counselling and ability to practice, and Level 5 Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw upon when working with clients.

In addition to these certifications, I have also undergone other courses, including working with survivors of sexual violence, couples counselling, addictions to substance abuse, bereavement and loss, and more.

My counselling experience began in 2012, working with people who struggled with depression, anxiety, and addictions. I gained experience with Qalb counselling services until 2014, and then moved on to Phoenix counselling services, where I worked with working professionals who suffered from depression and anxiety. This experience helped me gather more knowledge and experience about mental health.

Although it was a difficult decision to leave Phoenix due to the great bonds formed with clients and colleagues, I knew that to gain further insights, I had to learn more. This led to working with Mind, a large organisation in the country, where I gained diverse perspectives and experiences that helped me to start working for Sakoon Counselling Services. Here, I found my true calling as a Muslim who wanted to support and help other Muslims with their religious obligations and facilitate their incorporation of their religion with the world around them.

Now working privately, I intend to continue helping those in need. If you need help with anything, do not hesitate to contact us.
